Contractual Clarifications and Definitions

These clarifications form an integral part of any commercial agreement entered into between Solarcroatia and its B2B partners. They define the technical terms, liability limits, and delivery conditions, eliminating any ambiguity in the interpretation of product specifications and associated services.

1. Definition of "Panel Efficiency"

The declared efficiency for solar panels refers to the cell conversion efficiency under standard test conditions (STC: 1000 W/m², 25°C, AM 1.5). Actual values may vary by ±3% depending on ambient temperature, installation angle, and cloud cover. Efficiency does not include losses from cables, inverter, or partial shading.

  • STC conditions are defined by the IEC 61215 standard.
  • The ±3% tolerance is measured in an accredited laboratory.
  • System losses (cables, inverter) are calculated separately, according to the inverter's technical data sheet.

2. Product Warranty

The 25-year warranty for solar panels covers manufacturing defects and linear power degradation below 0.55% per year. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper transport, faulty installation, electrical overload, or extreme weather events (hail with a diameter over 25 mm, wind over 130 km/h).

  • Linear degradation is calculated from the nominal power measured at the factory output.
  • For the inverter, the standard warranty is 10 years, extendable to 20 years by separate contract.
  • Mounting structures benefit from a 15-year warranty against corrosion.

3. Delivery and Installation Conditions

Delivery is made within 30 working days from order confirmation, except in cases of force majeure. Installation is the responsibility of the B2B partner, unless a separate installation contract is concluded. Solarcroatia provides technical documentation and telephone support for installation.

  • Transport costs are included in the offer only for orders over 50 panels.
  • Technical documentation includes the electrical diagram, installation sheet, and safety instructions.
  • Telephone support is available Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

4. Limitation of Liability

Solarcroatia is not liable for indirect losses, such as business interruption, data loss, or costs of replacing other equipment. Solarcroatia's total liability for any claim is limited to the invoiced value of the product in question.

  • Indirect losses include, but are not limited to, contractual penalties with third parties.
  • The invoiced value is calculated excluding VAT and transport costs.
  • Any claim must be submitted in writing within 14 days of discovering the defect.

5. Definition of "Energy Efficiency"

The energy efficiency mentioned in promotional materials refers to the ratio of electrical energy produced to incident solar energy on the panel surface, measured under STC conditions. It does not include the efficiency of the inverter or storage system. For industrial projects, the actual system efficiency is calculated through a site-specific simulation study.

  • The simulation study is performed using PVsyst software, utilizing local meteorological data.
  • Simulation results are valid for a period of 6 months from issuance.
  • Inverter efficiency is specified separately in its technical data sheet.
